Council records indicate that HDh. Hanimaadhoo has a population of 2,451 people, including 1,222 females and 1,229 males. The island is the fifth largest in the Maldives by natural land area. Approximately 70% of the population lives on the island, and it is also home to around 1,300 foreign residents.
